Local Celebrity Personalities and Business Executives Challenge
Average Joe's for Most Dogs Eaten.
We all know that professional eating athletes (we use this term
lightly), can throw down hot dogs like we do a bag of M&M's.
But what about the average Joe? After several weeks of pre-finals
competition, a handful of finalists and a group of local celebrities
including Andy Wheeler, Chris 'Malafunkshun' Barnett and Julius
'Caeser' Santos joined local-funny man Frank Rios and AK top-dog
Robert Hernandez and our very own top-dog SPPC Chief Operating
Officer, Michael Hahm for the ultimate Hot Dog eating show down.
"Obviously this is not something I, nor anyone else in
this contest do frequently (thank goodness), but we're here
to have some fun and help raise funds for the American Cancer
Society.", said Hahm.
As it turned out, the final count for victory went to Phil who
consumed just over six hot dogs (compare that to the world-record
of over 52 hot dogs!) in the 5-minute contest. Regardless of
how many (or how little in this case), was eaten everyone had
a good time and much needed funds were raised — so everyone
wins — Hot Dog! |
